Leandra Taylor received an opportunity of a lifetime when she was chosen as the recipient of a $2,000 scholarship from the Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise to attend The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI).

The Government High School graduate was one of many Interact Club members who applied for the scholarship by writing an essay to the Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise, explaining why she should be chosen to receive the scholarship. Interact Clubs are the youth branch of Rotary.

Leandra, who developed leadership skills and social responsibility, convinced the club of her worthiness by expressing her genuine desire to further her education...
